Midnight Garnet One of One Hat Pin

A deep midnight garnet set in sterling silver with an 18K gold vermeil finish, made to sit on the band of a hat.

A functional piece of adornment: the pin locks securely through felt or straw and the garnet reads almost black until the light hits it red.

Handmade in our Los Angeles studio. This is a one-of-one piece: the stones are natural and the setting was built around them, so it will not be made again exactly like this.

Care

• Put your jewelry on last, after lotion, perfume and hairspray, and take it off first.
• Remove before showering, swimming, exercising or cleaning. Chlorine, salt water and sweat dull metal and stones.
• Gold vermeil is a layer of gold over sterling silver. Clean it gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive polishing and silver dips.
• Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners.
• Store each piece separately in a lined jewelry box, in a cool, dry place, to prevent scratches and tarnish.
